Smilex at Cornbury Music Festival Smilex [18:00] Smilex earnt their reputation as an exciting, daring rock ’n’ roll band, the hard way: through relentless, energetic, sheer punk rock live shows which have seen them tearing up stages supporting the likes of The Towers of London, The Damned and The 80’s Matchbox B-Line Disaster.

Dead Like Harry at the Cornbury Music Festival

Dead Like Harry [16:00] Songwriting brothers Matt and Sam Taylor have been honing their trade since they were in their early teens. The result is a sound coloured by rock, blues, American, English, country and even folk influences, but which remained at its centre an honest, from-the-heart collection of songs written and performed by a group of young friends who want nothing more than to make great music.

Kris Dolimorr at the Cornbury Music Festival Kris Dolimorr [15:00] is one of the finest exponents of electric and acoustic guitar the UK has yet produced and he emphatically re-states his case for a wider audience beyond cult status with an electrifying debut album called ‘02/01/1978’.
Slainte at Cornbury Music Festival Slainte [14:00] "Slainte" means "cheers" - a great name for this seven-piece band specialising in Celtic music. They have built up a massive following among fans in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, America and Italy.
Jess Godyer at Cornbury Music Festival Jess Goyder [13:00] grew up in India, Ethiopia and Oxford, and is a classically trained pianist and self-taught guitarist, bit it’s her voice that continues to silence the room. She discovered Bossa Nova in Barcelona and her songwriting is often inspired by her travels in South America. No stranger to festivals including Glastonbury, Brighton and Edinburgh, a residency at the Henley Festival and after Jools Holland at the first ever Cornbury!
Life of Reilly at the Cornbury Music Festival Life of Reilly [12:00] In an attempt to juggle their busy student lives with their love for playing and writing music together, The Life of Riley return in style. After a thrilling performance at last years Riverside Festival, this 4 piece band promises easy going rock bursting with original twists. Guaranteed enjoyment.

SUNDAY 6TH JULY
Rebel Jane at the Cornbury Music Festival Reble Jane [19:00] are a genuinely exciting project for 2008. Enchanting and haunting vocals, music that delvers into a long forgotten beauty, riddled with violent outbursts and songwriting that ambles between alternative rock and the avant-garde. Comparable to timeless classics as Radiohead, Nick Cave and Jeoff Buckley.
Easy Tiger [18:00] Every now and then, a regional band will bubble to the surface and pierce the mainstream consciousness to the delight of fans and the consternation of uptight music critics. This is that band…they told you so.
Back to the Border at the Cornbury Music Festival Back to the Border [17:00] is Patrick Ellis and Andy Hopkins. The two have been friends since they were kids in South Wales and together they produce an inspirational and exciting blend of self-penned contemporary and classic acoustic blues and edgy folk. They love to play - and it shows. They’re joined at the festival by the legendary Pete Crowther on bass and rocksteady Tommy Longfellow on drums.
Billypure at the Cornbury Music Festival Billypure [16:00] The 'big music' is alive again with powerful songs played with a conviction that never fails to move an audience. A special tribute to be played to The Waterboys at Cornbury as a heartfelt thank you for inspiration.
Lightnin' Willie & The Poorboys Lightnin' Willie & The Poorboys [15:00] Willie is a brilliant musician who engineers an unforgettable journey. He orchestrates a delicately balanced show, opening with powerful blues, rich vocals, and slide guitar.
tp & Woodman at Cornbury Music Festival 2008 Tp & Woodman [14:00] born out of a love of 'raga' and electric guitars, tp & woodman use the fundaments of the Indian discipline to take you on a free flowing but structured guitar journey. Jangles, drones, hypnotic rhythms, swooping and soaring improvisations....
Modou Diouf [13:00] High energy of Senegalese Sabar drumming with Modou Diouf. Played festivals across the country including live 8. Played on the soundtrack for ‘Blood Diamond’.
Toby at the Cornbury Music Festival Toby [12:00] began learning Flamenco guitar when living in Andalucia. He started writing his own songs a couple of years later. He is now 16 and is getting a clearer idea about how he wants to sound. Just finishing his exams & will continue with school to study music/drama...........all the serious subjects!
Judy Luxmoore at the Cornbury Music Festival Judy Luxmoore [11:30] At thirteen years of age, Judy is a rare talent indeed. As a singer and songwriter she is years ahead of her age, The next Kate Rusby. She’ll steal the show and your hearts!
Bandioki [11:00] A chance for members of the audience to front a band!
